Frequently Asked Questions
Is MyTrustRex™ free?
RexMail™, our secure email messaging application is free for patients and available for a nominal monthly subscription to Health Professionals.
My Health Professional told me to come to this site and register... What do I do now?
Simply register as a "patient" on the MyTrustRex system. Fill out the basic registration form and create your username and password when prompted. Once logged in, you may “register” with your doctor’s office and RexMail™ anyone, provided you know their RexMail™ username.
To Register with your Nurse’s or Doctor’s office, make sure you are logged in the MyTrustRex system, and then click “Patient Care > Find a Nurse or Doctor” so you may search for your desired doctor. Use a broad search first, like last name and city and your provider’s name will show up. Click the “Get Registered” icon by your doctor (make sure you are selecting the correct doctor). The provider’s office will either “accept” or deny your registration, with any appropriate explanations and instructions on what to do next.
I am a Health Professional, how do I get started on MyTrustRex™?
To begin using MyTrustRex, simply assign one nurse or doctor in your practice to register on the MyTrustRex website. To do so, click the "Register My Practice" link at the top of this page and fill out the general requested information regarding your practice. Once complete, your registration will be pending until we can verify your practice (usually within 24 hours). Once you are verified, you will be sent an approval e-mail and you may then begin using MyTrustRex.
You will add all the employees and doctors in your practice, next. You will assign them a username and temporary password which they must change upon entering the MyTrustRex site for the first time. Employees may be assigned roles based on their appropriate function at your practice (doctors, office managers, staff members). Furthermore, any employee may be assigned to act as your general inquiries contact and/or scheduling contact for your practice.
How secure is MyTrustRex™?
We use Verisign SSL Certificates to maintain a secure means of communication between our servers and your web browser. Our backups consist of 2,048 bit GPG public key encryption which are then relocated to a secure location off-site. We audit everything. Nothing gets changed within the MyTrustRex system without leaving a trail of who, what, where and when!
